Jubilee 25th plastic fair Fakuma
More exhibitors, more exhibition floor space, more expert visitors – all involved parties were highly satisfied: the autumn industry meet held in Friedrichshafen at the 25th Fakuma international trade fair for plastics processing.
Impressive numbers such as 1889 exhibitors and well over 915,000 square feet of overall exhibition floor space, as well as 48,375 expert visitors at this year’s event substantiate the steady upward trend of plastics technology and Fakuma as an information and business platform at the heart of the market.
The sales representatives of Nomis, as the official representative of Arburg, were present at the Arburg stand where they welcomed our customers and introduced them to the presented Arburg machines and applications, but also of our other principals.
Arburg, as co-founder of Fakuma, was the biggest exhibitor at this year’s 25th edition of the fair. With ten machines on their own stand and another eight at partner stands, this year’s focus was on “smart” and practical solutions for the efficient production of plastic parts. With more than 30 years of experience in networked and flexible automated production, Arburg offers everything that the injection molding machine needs in the context of Industry 4.0 – from the “smart machine” and the ARBURG ALS computer system to “smart” services. The new design of ALLROUNDER machines 1120 H and ALLROUNDER 920 H and the new GESTICA control system; Industry 4.0 in practice – “online” integration of customers’ requirements into the injection moulding process and flexible production in single-unit batches; LSR/LSR injection moulding, packaging technology and more
Rapid, one of our principals and one of the leading granulator manufacturers, presented their new RAPTOR shredder designed for each type of plastic, with patented QuadCUT knives and shock absorbers for rotor protection. More on the link: http://www.rapidgranulator.com/product/raptor_fp_pp.
Moretto presented their Moisture Meter Manager, a discovery in the 4.0 Industry for drying technical polymers: integrates the dryer into a fully customizable system. The Moisture Meter Crown measures the moisture of the granule before the drying process, and the Moisture Meter Box controls the final moisture of the granule. Thanks to double control (at the inlet and outlet of the hopper), it manages the drying conditions in order to maximize the efficiency of the process in terms of quality and energy efficiency. Moisture Meter Manager controls the material every two seconds, gives reports on the quality of the granule and confirms the production piece by piece. - Greenbox with eight exposed coolers and temperature controlers
- Virginio Nastri with their conveyor belts
- BASF with innovative solutions in the plastics industry for the construction, automotive, packaging and furniture industry
- Lanxess with the focus on the sustainable applications of its thermoplastics inside the vehicle
- Chem Trend with its advanced portfolio of Lusin® and Ultra Purge ™ products designed to increase the performance of thermoplastic processors
The 26th international trade fair for plastic processing Fakuma will take place in Friedrichshafen Exhibition Centre from 16 to 20 October 2018.
More than 1800 exhibitors will present their international offerings on the world’s leading technical event for industrial plastics processing.
Attention will be focused on the latest technologies which promise highly advantageous benefits, as well as processes and tools for efficient plastics processing by means of injection moulding, extrusion, thermoforming and 3D printing.
