Catamold® is a high quality granulate for MIM (metal injection molding) manufactured by BASF SE. Low-alloy, stainless steels and special alloys from the innovative range of Catamold® materials are widely used in the automotive and electrical industry, as well as in other industries where conventional injection molding machines achieve affordable, reliable and precise production of geometrically demanding parts.

With Catamold® materials, it is possible to achieve a density of up to 100%, a homogeneous structure and the mechanical properties of the selected steel. All these properties as well as the quality of the surface lead to the fact that subsequent processing of the produced pieces is not necessary in most cases.
